Admissions

Bharathi Kalalaya offers three levels of courses:

Beginner

There are no prerequisites at this level.  There will be 15 minutes of theory and 40 minutes of practical training per session.  Duration of this course is 18 months.

Intermediate

An audition test by the School Committee will determine the admission at this level.   Audition test is mandatory for all students including those from Bharathi Kalalaya's Beginner level class.

Advanced

Intermediate level course completion is a pre-requisite of this level along with the audition test.  New students must take an entrance exam and an audition test to apply for the Advanced course.

NOTE:

Admission is required for all three levels through relevant application forms. Application forms are available at Bharathi Kalalaya. Please contact Anu Suresh for information. Admissions are due on the first of every month.

 

Fees

Students will attend four classes per month.

Beginner

 

$80.00/month during Ist year;   $100/month for the last 6 months.

 

 Intermediate

 

$100.00/month

 

Advanced

 

$125.00/month

Enrollment is through an application, with an enrollment fee of $25.00.

Workshops

Bharathi Kalalaya offers two workshops every year.  Duration for each workshop is 4 weeks.  There will be no audition for the workshops.   Workshop is conducted for Intermediate level and above.  This will be a complete theory and practical training. The schedule and fees for these workshops will be indicated at the appropriate times.

Admission Policies

  1. Tuition Fees are due every first class of the month. A $10 fine will be charged, if received later.
  2. No deductions or refund allowed for absence by students. In the event of teacher's absence, rescheduling can be done at teacher's convenience.
  3. Re enrollment fees would be charged, if students absent for more than four weeks without prior intimation.
  4. For returned checks, there will be a $25 collection fee.
  5. Diwali, Christmas and New Year are official holidays for Bharathi Kalalaya.
